The Rainbow Rapids opened in 1985 and consisted of two\u00a0 slides, 300 feet long which looped in a circle before dropping 40 foot into a plunge pool.\u00a0 The walls of the entrance and changing rooms were painted in a bright blue and decorated\u00a0 with illustrations of cartoon characters. Jake\u2019s illustrations float over the location recalling the lived experience of the many children who tumbled down this amazing slide.<\/h5>\n
